As a designer and maker I like to follow my hands and trust their intuition. Problems will be uncovered and solved as the making process continues. I trust the previous design informs the next.
My studies on the Design Products MA at the Royal College of Art allowed me to explore this iterative process strategically, whilst also confronting naivety and mistakes.
I am very consumer focussed when designing and consider how the product is interacted with, whilst also instilling consumer needs and aesthetics into my designs.
When designing, I of course consider the environmental impacts of a new product, but it does not always lead my design. Throughout the design process of the product, my goal is for it to withstand length of time through durability and aesthetics for a positive impact on the planet.
Form and functionality are simultaneous to my approach.
